MP Alex Mayer Visits Bidwell Allotments

During National Allotments Week Cllr Abby Slough, Chair of Environment and Leisure, had a great time showing MP Alex Mayer around the Terra Croft Leisure Gardens in Bidwell - the first of many allotments due to be built in Houghton Regis! Alex spoke with a member of HR Town Council’s grounds team who provided her with some information about the allotments. Alex also met a number of residents taking in the afternoon sunshine as they tended their plots - one resident in particular, Dina, had never grown fruit and veg before… now she’s a pro!
