Houghton Regis has for so long been neglected and ignored by our Unitary Authority - Central Bedfordshire Council.
The problems are all our fault and they take all credit for the occasional present they "give" us.
The Labour candidates in Houghton Regis are quite clear that they oppose further development on green spaces in the Town and have supported initiatives such as Friends of Windsor Drive Open Space.
The Houghton Regis Labour team held a Surgery which both Labour candidates attended to hear resident's concerns. More recently, we have been delivering leaflets to residents to support where we can. Labour CBC councillor, Toni Ryan has been actively involved in this campaign by attending and supporting the meeting with the Assistant Director of Housing Services, Tony Keaveney, alongside giving support with setting up the group.
Houghton Regis Labour team will demand that CBC listen and engage with Houghton Regis residents. We will always be open with residents and not say we will do the impossible.
Community involvement and action are key to our vision for the Town and the only way we can, together as politicians and a community, effectively challenge Central Bedfordshire Council.
Vote for a united community.
